-What you’re signing up for (Pre-paid card and amount, Spring Flower Club, Main Season Flower Club)

-Your phone number and email address so we can send you our newsletter, contact you if you missed a pick-up, or be in touch about other important information

Q: When will I be able to shop with you?

A: We aim to open our Farm Store early Summer. We’ll have a better idea by late Winter and will update you via email/newsletter/social media. Once we are open, the store will be open on a self-serve honor system from 8am-7pm daily. We’ll stock the store on Fridays and throughout the week.    We plan to do the SJI Farmer’s Market 1-2 times per month through the main season.

Q: Is Dancing Seeds Farm organic?

A: We are not Certified Organic; however we follow organic growing practices and focus on soil building and soil health as a core way to prevent pest and disease issues to begin with. We incorporate sustainability and other practices that aren’t specified in organic certification, such as integrated pest management (encouraging good bugs to help control less desirable bugs), crop rotation, cover cropping, composting/compost teas, and low-till methods. We believe our approach makes our produce “beyond organic.”

Q: What are you doing to prevent the spread of Covid-19?

A: As with 2020, we will continue to use best cleaning and disinfecting practices for food handlers in our kitchen and Farm Store. We always wear masks when handling food and wipe down handles and surfaces in the Farm Store throughout the day.

Q: What can I expect throughout the season?

A: The best part of eating locally is seasonal variety. This season we will be focusing on Salad crops and a few other in order to focus our attention on infrastructure projects. It’s a little paired-down from the past, but we will still provide a nice selection of fresh, delicious foods:

-May:  Spinach, radishes, flowering broccoli, parsley, spring onions, pea shoots, kale, chard.

-June: Beets, kale, strawberries, mint, scallions, cilantro, lettuce, peas, mixed greens, radishes, salad mix

-July: Garlic, lettuce, beets, peas, strawberries, thyme, argula, onions, plums, blueberries, salad turnips, salad mix

-August: Salad mix, onions, lettuce, tomatoes, zucchini, cilantro, plums, pears, blueberries.

-September: Salad Mix, Tomatoes,  lettuce, zucchini, carrots, garlic, microgreens, chives, apples, and pears
